Company Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the warm-water underfloor heating industry with JK Floorheating, a market leader in underfloor heating systems. JK Floorheating is a specialist provider of in-ground underfloor heating (UFH) systems for residential and commercial buildings. We operate across 10 European countries and have been serving the Dutch and German markets for over 30 years. We are an innovative technology company specialising in environmentally friendly heating solutions and offer a unique installation method to the UK market. Our system is increasingly specified within the renovation, refurbishment and change-of-use sectors of the construction industry.

The Role

JK Floorheating is currently recruiting for an Assistant Underfloor Heating Installer on a zero-hours contract to support our installation team operating from our Exeter branch.

This role would suit someone looking for flexible work within the construction industry and who is willing to learn a specialist trade. No previous underfloor heating experience is required, as full training will be provided.

As an Assistant Installer, you will work alongside and under the supervision of an experienced JK Underfloor Heating Installer, assisting with planned installation works on domestic and commercial projects. The majority of work will be across Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Cornwall, Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, although travel to other areas including London, Berkshire, Essex and the Midlands may occasionally be required. Some projects may require overnight stays depending on location and work schedules, for which additional incentives/allowances may apply.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
