MUFG is seeking an Assistant Vice President to join their Facility & Transaction Management team in London, offering you the opportunity to play a pivotal role within one of the world’s most respected financial institutions. You will be at the heart of transaction validation activities, ensuring that facilities are managed with precision and compliance, while connecting with stakeholders across MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities EMEA plc. What you'll do:

  • Complete daily operational activities in strict accordance with facility agreements, internal policies, and regulatory requirements to ensure seamless transaction servicing.
  • Ensure accurate input, maintenance, and verification of facility and transaction data within operational systems, maintaining high standards of precision.
  • Support the management of daily workflow by coordinating with Operational teams to facilitate timely processing of transactions and fulfilment of obligations.
  • Monitor facility and transaction lifecycle events, triggers, diary notes, and system-generated alerts to guarantee appropriate actions are taken promptly.
  • Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, queries, and escalations from internal stakeholders or external parties such as lenders or borrowers.
  • Liaise effectively with Front Office teams, lenders, borrowers, and other internal stakeholders to administer facilities and manage transaction events throughout their lifecycle.
  • Contribute actively to project initiatives, process enhancements, and change management activities aimed at improving operational efficiency within the department.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across MUFG to foster collaboration and information sharing between departments.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of control tools where standard systems are insufficient for managing complex facilities or unique requirements.
  • Review existing processes and procedures regularly to identify areas for improvement in efficiency or facility utilisation while ensuring management information is accurate.

What you bring:

  • Experience working within Financial Institution Operations Middle Office or Control function is essential for understanding complex transactional environments.
  • Operational experience with Loan, FX (Foreign Exchange), Money Market products is required for effective facility management.
  • Administrative knowledge of loan markets including FX and Swap products enables you to handle diverse transaction types confidently.
  • Proficiency in reviewing loan agreements and ISDAs ensures compliance with legal frameworks governing transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills allow you to build rapport with stakeholders across departments while resolving queries efficiently.
  • Strong sense of accountability means you consistently deliver results aligned with organisational goals while maintaining compliance standards.
  • A proactive approach helps you prioritise tasks effectively in fast-moving situations without compromising on quality or accuracy.
  • Structured thinking combined with sound judgement supports decision-making when faced with complex operational challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail guarantees accuracy in data inputting, reporting, and facility monitoring activities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel) enable efficient handling of documentation; proficiency in Loan IQ is preferred.
