Role Overview
What you'll do
- Oversee all goods inwards operations, including purchased goods and customer returns.
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Goods Inwards Warehouse Operatives, ensuring all training is completed and appraisals are carried out on time.
- Support recruitment activities for the Warehouse & Distribution team.
- Manage the upkeep of related facilities (e.g. racking, goods lifts) and coordinate with contractors for maintenance.
- Liaise with Purchasing and suppliers on goods inwards matters and with Sales on returned goods.
- Support in the management of the Goods Inwards budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Oversee stock management in the Certikin warehouse, including investigations, cycle counts, and collaboration with the Stock Team.
- Support preparations for stock takes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure chemicals are stored, segregated, and disposed of safely in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality, security, and accuracy of customer records, data, and information.
- Keep up-to-date with the Company’s terms and conditions and adhere to all Company and HR policies (including email and internet usage).

What you'll bring
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience (preferred). Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements in warehouse operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience managing budgets and liaising with multiple stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Forklift licence.

We are offering an annual salary of £32k - 35k per annum (based on experience). Your role will be warehouse-based working 39.5 hours a week within a friendly and knowledgeable team.
