Assistant Water Pollution Control Superintendent
The Town of Dartmouth is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Water Pollution Control Superintendent in the Department of Public Works, Water Pollution Control Division. This role assists with supervising municipal wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations, including oversight of operations, laboratory functions, and maintenance activities. The position supports safe, efficient mechanical and biological treatment processes by evaluating system performance and helping implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in management, engineering, environmental science or a related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in civil or environmental engineering desirable
- Four years’ experience with similar responsibilities in municipal wastewater and sewer collection operations
- Or any equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements
- Massachusetts Grade VII Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification
- Massachusetts Class D Driver’s License
