Assistive Technologist
Location: South East London / South East England (national travel required)
Pay: £depending on task and experience
Hours: Minimum 2 days a week, flexible
Start date: September 2026 (handover period ahead of maternity cover from November)

The Role
We're looking for a skilled, compassionate Assistive Technologist to assess, set up and support AT solutions for clients with a wide range of disabilities. You'll start in September to build client relationships and get up to speed before taking on full cover from November. There's genuine scope to grow the caseload and develop the role in the South East, with potential to continue beyond the maternity cover period.

You will:
- Assess clients' needs for communication, access and independence technology
- Install, configure and maintain devices - eye gaze, switches, AAC, gaming access, environmental controls
- Deliver bespoke training to clients, families and professional teams
- Track outcomes and maintain clinical records
- Travel to client settings, mainly across the South East
What You'll Need
- Experience with assistive technology, including gaming and environmental controls
- A background in AT, OT, SLT, SEN education, or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle
- Your own laptop
- Self-employed status, managing your own tax and insurance

Desirable: HCPC or RCSLT registration; experience with AAC or complex needs.
