Overview
Three years ago we had a thesis: the best returns are shaped by emerging managers, and nobody had built the machine to find them first. So we built it. We see roughly 80% of new fund managers globally, back the top 3%, and anchor them with day-one capital. Now comes the bigger cycle. We're hiring one Associate to build the engine behind it: the agents, the models, the market intelligence, the numbers behind every decision. You'll work directly with the founders, reporting to a Founding Partner.
Who We Are
Allocator One is the AI-first asset manager for emerging fund managers in private markets. Markets are moving from generalists to specialists, and durable alpha is formed upstream, before the opportunity becomes consensus. Our job is to find it first. We anchor the top 3% of emerging managers and give our LPs day-one access, backed by the largest deal flow in the category. The team is small by design. We build our own tools, and we expect you to do the same.
Tasks
This is not a support role. It sits where investor relations, financial analysis, and technology meet, and your job is to make a small team operate like a much larger one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
General responsibilities:
- Identify workflows that can be automated and build the agents that do it. You don't do the busywork. You build the AI that eats it.
- Build and defend the fund return models (MOIC, IRR, DPI, carry, fees). Every assumption is yours to own.
- Turn our deal flow, the largest in the category, into market intelligence: which strategies are forming, where specialist alpha is emerging, what the data says before it becomes consensus. This is why LPs work with us, and you build the analysis behind it.
- Shape the LP portal into how our investors experience us: portfolio, performance, data rooms, and market intelligence in one place.
- Own LP relationships end to end: onboarding, due diligence, follow-ups.
Requirements
Your skills and qualifications:
- You've shipped things without being asked twice. Titles matter less than proof.
- Strong quantitative skills, with the ability to build and defend a financial model without hand-waving.
- Genuine fluency with AI tools, including prompt and context engineering, and a track record of using them to automate real work.
- Process-driven, with a low tolerance for stale or inaccurate data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus given our London base.

One thing to know before you apply: we don't build what we build without giving it all. If that excites you, keep reading. If it scares you, all good, not for you.
Benefits
- Full-time, in-office in Vienna or London, with travel for summits and LP/GP events.
- Competitive base salary.
- A fast track to a lead role based on performance.
- Direct exposure to the founders and every major decision across the business.
- A front-row seat to the emerging fund manager ecosystem, the future of venture capital.
There has never been a better time to enter private markets. The field is being rewritten, and we're holding the pen.
Apply with what you've built, not just where you've worked. No recruiters, please.
