ABOUT
STRAT7 Incite offers strategic research to a range of clients, from companies that sell consumer goods to financial services to pharmaceuticals. We operate at the intersection between consulting and primary market research, leveraging best-in-class research to build answers to clients’ business problems.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a new Associate to join our thriving Health team, who collaborate with pharmaceutical and biotech companies of all shapes and sizes (from big pharma to start-ups), as well as organisations that work in medical devices and nutrition.
We tend to work on knotty challenges and business critical projects – that require problem solving, creativity and intellectual rigour. Our team is made up of curious people who love to ask questions and find the answers. We have a human-centric culture, populated with a diverse bunch of minds and backgrounds, based in a safe space to challenge, explore, interrogate and listen.
We want Associates who bring great foundational skills and experiences working in pharmaceutical market research, who would like to stretch and learn, work on interesting clients, and challenging projects.
We would like to engage with people who are can-do and hands-on, with a real desire to learn, and to develop deeper and stronger research and consultancy skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shape Research Questions - co-lead brainstorming sessions to define annual research themes. Design research approach, from questionnaires and discussion guides to innovative methods, ensuring the right question gets asked in the right way
- Turn data into Insight - work across quantitative and qualitative evidence to uncover the "so what" in the data. Conduct complex analysis, ensure data reliability, and synthesise large datasets into insights worth publishing. Collaborate with analytics specialists when deeper expertise is needed
- Craft Compelling Narratives - moving beyond data presentation to narrative impact, ensuring findings are matched by strong storytelling
- Build Trusted Client Relationships - manage day-to-day relationships with senior stakeholders, positioning as a solutions-focused trusted advisor. See projects through from kickoff to completion, prepare and run client sessions, and begin developing the longer-term partnership relationships
- Contribute to Business Development & Capability - support Principals with content creation for pitches and proposal preparation, help shape how STRAT7 Incite present capabilities and win new work

‘Typical’ Associate qualitative responsibilities:
- Own development of qualitative screeners
- Draft discussion guides and task plans with oversight
- Moderate qual forums
- Own qual forum programming and testing
- Moderate one-to-one interviews (not necessarily client viewed)
‘Typical’ Associate quantitative responsibilities:
- Contribute to quantitative survey writing
- Own quant survey link testing and check logic flow in questionnaires
- Co-ordinates feedback with script programmers
- Instruct quant FW partners on correct sampling approach and quotas
- Set up tables and analysis in Q
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Solid track record in ad-hoc research or consultancy experience, ideally acquired through an agency
- Primary market research experience for pharmaceutical clients
- Encourages a collaborative environment by sharing ideas, working closely with colleagues, supporting team members, understanding their motivations, and adapting to different roles and projects to achieve shared goals
- Evidence of strong project management capability managing work to agreed scope, timelines, and quality standards
- Competent in qualitative and/ or quantitative research methods and analysis with commitment to developing proficiency across both disciplines to become a well-rounded researcher
- Demonstrates client relationship management, delivering commercially framed research findings that strengthen trust advisory-led relationships
- Possess a problem‑solving mindset, with the confidence to independently resolve day‑to‑day issues while recognising when to seek support
- Ability to move from summary of findings to ‘so what?’

BENEFITS
Depending on experience, we offer a competitive salary of £37,000–£45,000, with clear progression pathways and access to new opportunities as you develop. Benefits include:
- 25 days holiday plus UK bank holidays (Christmas closure – 3 days additional to entitlement – discretionary and non-contractual leave)
- Flexible, hybrid working options – we expect you to be at the office 3 days a week
- A contributory group personal pension scheme, to which we contribute 4% of Qualified Banded earnings to each team member’s gross salary after an initial 3 months service
- 4-week sabbatical after 4 years continuous service on top of 25 days holiday
- 2 volunteering paid days per year (under a formal program for a registered charity)
