Position Title: Associate - Commercial Valuation
Department: Valuation & Advisory - Investment Valuations
Location: Old Broad Street, London
Job summary:
Our Valuation & Advisory Team provides high quality and strategic advice across commercial and residential assets, portfolios and complex development. Working closely with colleagues in other disciplines both regionally and nationally, we ensure our advice reflects real-time market intelligence and sector insight.
We are seeking a driven and collaborative Associate to play a key role in delivering market-leading valuation services for major investor clients. You will take responsibility for managing and executing commercial property valuation mandates, strengthening client relationships, and contributing to the team’s ambitious growth plans. The role may involve an element of the valuation of long income/ground rents.
This is an excellent opportunity for an existing Associate looking for progression, or a Senior Surveyor ready to take on greater responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Valuation Delivery & Quality
- Lead and support the delivery of investment valuations in all commercial property sectors for financial reporting purposes.
- Produce valuations using Argus Enterprise with robust valuation methodologies and rationales.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual valuation cycles for key fund clients, including producing analysis and reporting.
- Ensure all valuation outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with professional standards.
- Answer clients’ ad hoc queries and run valuation scenarios.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact.
- Present valuation outcomes and market commentary confidently, explaining methodology and rationale.
- Collaborate with colleagues across service lines to ensure coordinated delivery and cross-business insights.
Business Growth & Team Contribution
- Support Partners in developing and securing new business opportunities.
- Contribute to team research, market knowledge, and thought leadership.
- Mentor and support junior team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Ensure all work complies with internal processes, quality standards, and risk procedures.
Some long income/ground rent valuation experience would be useful but is not essential. However, a willingness to provide excellent professional advice and service to clients in support of instructions managed by Partners is essential as well as a keenness to contribute to team business development, fee billing and profit targets.
Qualifications & Skills
- MRICS qualified (Registered Valuer preferred)
- Advanced working knowledge of Argus Enterprise
- Strong IT proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident presenter with strong client-facing skills
- Highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interrogate data effectively

Experience & Attributes
- Experience working in a fast-paced valuation environment
- Strong understanding of investment markets; long-income/ground-rent experience beneficial but not essential
- Proven ability to build internal and external relationships
- Well organised, systematic, and able to work effectively under pressure
- Passionate about valuation and professional advisory work
