ABOUT GLOBAL NATION

Global Nation is a think-do tank dedicated to building a more collaborative world. We use our four levers of thought leadership, strategic advisory, coalition building and communications to improve international cooperation to face humanity's great challenges, including climate change, pandemics, conflict and inequality. We are an agile team that combines policy experts, academics, strategic advisors and communications specialists.

We advise many of the world's leading institutions, including the Gates Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Wellcome Trust, UN agencies, multilateral development banks, and national governments. We also receive grant funding to pursue thought-leadership and movement-building for a fairer international system. This includes our work on the Global Solidarity Report, a scorecard that is, for the first time, measuring the international community's ability to tackle and withstand our generational challenges.

We are headquartered in London, but our team is distributed across the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Nepal, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Founded in 2022, Global Nation is led by development expert and author Hassan Damluji.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an Associate to join our team. You will contribute to high-impact international development projects, support the analysis behind our recommendations, and help turn complex information into clear outputs for clients.

Some examples of projects you could work on include:

  • Rockefeller Foundation Climate & Health: Support the Rockefeller Foundation and UN agencies to develop more coordinated international action to reduce climate-induced risks to human health, by developing strategies and guidance documents and coordinating between international organizations and countries.
  • Gates Foundation Digital Public Infrastructure: Support the Gates Foundation to build co-investment partnerships with investors in the Middle East region, to scale up digital public infrastructure and inclusive financial systems in Africa, including through developing a strategic approach for regional engagement, identifying and structuring investible projects and convening potential partners.
  • Pandemic Preparedness: Support UN agencies to develop concrete initiatives to better advocate for, catalyse technical improvements in, and strengthen countries ability to carry out collaborative disease surveillance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
