Executive Search Associate – Technology, Consumer & Growth Businesses
London | £32,000–£35,000 + Up to 20% Bonus | Hybrid
We're partnering with an established, highly regarded executive search firm looking to appoint a bright, ambitious Associate to join its London team.
The business works with some of the most exciting venture capital and private equity-backed companies, helping them identify and appoint senior leaders who shape their next stage of growth.
This opportunity sits within a small, collaborative team focused on Technology, Consumer and Health, offering direct exposure to experienced Partners, senior candidates and ambitious businesses.
The Opportunity
You'll be involved in the full executive search process, developing the research, commercial and relationship-building skills needed for a successful long-term career. Responsibilities include:
- Researching businesses, sectors and markets to identify senior leadership talent.
- Mapping organisations and approaching relevant candidates.
- Understanding client businesses, their challenges and why they're making key appointments.
- Engaging with senior professionals, assessing their experience and motivations.
- Preparing candidate profiles, market intelligence and search updates.
- Working closely with Partners and Principals on live assignments.
- Gradually taking greater ownership of candidate relationships, client interaction and search delivery.

Who We're Looking For
We're particularly interested in candidates with 1–3 years of professional experience, ideally gained within executive search, recruitment, research, consulting or another commercially focused business environment.
You'll ideally bring:
- A strong academic background, with a 2:1 or above from a higher education university.
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience, including exposure to a commercial or client-facing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior professionals.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A genuine interest in businesses, people, technology and what makes organisations successful.
- A proactive, resilient and commercially minded approach.
Previous executive search experience is advantageous but not essential. The business is equally interested in people with strong transferable skills, intellectual curiosity and the maturity to succeed in a professional, client-facing environment.
