Associate Relationship Director (ARD), Global Network Banking (GNB) UK

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Relationship Director (ARD), Global Network Banking (GNB) UK.
About the Role
The Global Network Banking Associate is a key position within HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking UK, focused on delivering international banking coverage to subsidiaries of Corporate and Institutional Banking customers in the Global Corporate and International Mid-Market segments.
The GNB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth and dedicated relationship management across the HSBC network, with the objective of deepening client relationships and maximising value for both customers and the bank.
You’ll work closely with Relationship Managers to support client engagement, prepare analysis and account remarks, coordinate credit and product processes, maintain appropriate systems and contribute to risk monitoring and ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities
In this role you’ll:
- Provide support to Relationship Managers to enable them to optimise the potential value of client relationships, improve client engagement and deliver needs-based solutions and fair outcomes for customers.
- Enable proactive client management by attending client meetings with Relationship Managers as necessary.
- Act as the first point of contact for customers on day-to-day credit-related enquiries.
- Prepare appropriate analysis, proposals and presentations for prospective customers.
- Support Relationship Managers with day-to-day activities, including client planning, pipeline management and coordination with product partners.
- Ensure customer data and call reports are accurately and promptly updated.
- Undertake financial, credit and profitability analysis and prepare account remarks.
- Support Relationship Managers with client and sector or industry research, financial and operating analysis, account conduct assessments, supplier and buyer analysis and other relevant remarks in CARM.
- Support Relationship Managers with third-party liaison, including discussions with external lawyers and valuers.
- Coordinate the application, security and product or solution processes on behalf of Relationship Managers.
- Work closely with Service Delivery to coordinate the end-to-end credit process, review deliverables and resolve issues.
- Monitor credit risk, including concern lists and credit control reports, and analyse management information.
- Provide ongoing risk monitoring in relation to Global Standards, Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions alerts.
- Act as an escalation point for risk issue responses.
- Collaborate with Group colleagues to deliver appropriate, needs-based solutions for customers.
- Ensure consistent application of Group Policy and adherence to regulatory, financial and legal standards to minimise business and reputational risks.
- Demonstrate HSBC UK principles by treating customers fairly and delivering a consistently high-quality and professional customer experience.

Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong team-working skills, promoting an environment of cooperation and trust and overcoming resistance where encountered.
- Good analytical and financial skills.
- Good prioritisation, organisational and time-management abilities.
- The ability to make appropriate decisions and take responsibility for outcomes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Broad knowledge of the Bank’s structures, products and services.
- Knowledge of international and domestic businesses and a range of industry sectors.
- Experience in a commercial or corporate banking environment.
- Experience working in a client-focused environment.
- An appreciation of working in a global environment.
- The ability to develop professional expertise and credibility within the business.
