Help keep vital operational processes, business systems and management information running smoothly in a varied home-based role that combines administration, data and project support.
Also known in the market as: Operations Support Coordinator; MI Support Assistant; Data & Systems Administrator; Business Support Coordinator.
About the Role
Pearson is looking for a proactive and organised Administrative & MI Support Coordinator to support operational activity, internal customers and the maintenance of business tools and information.
You will combine day-to-day administration with records management, access updates, reporting, action tracking and process support. You do not need to arrive with deep technical knowledge. You will work independently in a remote team while communicating with stakeholders across operations, PMO and assessment. Accuracy, responsiveness and a practical customer-service mindset will be central to success.
What You’ll Do
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Non-IT Development Operations Manager.
- Create, maintain and update records in business systems and databases.
- Manage user set-up, access requests and permission changes across supported tools.
- Respond to internal requests for data, reports and management information.
- Produce regular and ad-hoc MI reports, checking accuracy and completeness.
- Track project actions, milestones and deliverables.
- Maintain spreadsheets, databases, operational tools and reporting solutions.
- Support process documentation, continuous improvement and routine operational activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
