Public Services Delivery Scotland is a remote friendly employer supporting office, remote and hybrid working (within the UK). We are happy to talk about how you want to work. There will be a need to support in-person teaching events and attend team meetings in the Aberdeen Office at Forest Grove House. The majority of Grampian GP Training events are held on a Wednesday so the preference would be for the post-holder to be available to work on a Wednesday.

Applications are invited from experienced General Practice educators to join the team delivering General Practice education and support within the Scotland Deanery.
The postholder will perform an active role within GP Training in supporting Registrars who require additional input to successfully complete training. This will involve Registrars with performance issues in the workplace, examination failure, health issues, disability and those requiring general support measures. The post will also involve delivery of materials and courses for Examination support for all GP Registrars across Scotland. In addition, the postholder will be involved in interventions to support IMG Registrars entering GP training. Other facets of the role are described in the job description.

The postholder will also perform an active role in Rotation Planning and Rotation Management for the Grampian GP Training Programme. This will involve maintaining and updating the Rotation spreadsheets, liaising with the Grampian GP Assistant Director as regards Recruitment Numbers and Practice & Hospital Post availability. The post-holder will also work closely with the two Grampian GP TPDs as regards updating changes to rotations due to statutory leave or other reasons.
This role will involve being an active member of the GP training team with regular contact and liaison with colleagues in Grampian as well as other GP Educator colleagues across Scotland. This will include supporting local in-person educational events such as GP Registrar Inductions and the IMG Enhanced Induction Programme as well as national training events such as ARCPs.
