As an Associate AI Data Engineer, you'll help build the data foundations that power these innovations. From developing scalable data pipelines to preparing and governing AI-ready datasets, you'll play a key role in enabling machine learning, automation, and generative AI solutions across our product portfolio.

This role is ideal for someone looking to accelerate their career in data engineering while gaining exposure to real-world AI challenges. You'll work with modern technologies, collaborate with highly skilled engineers, and contribute to projects that are helping shape the next generation of AI-powered products at Ideagen.

Responsibilities

  • Building scalable data pipelines that power AI models, machine learning workflows, and intelligent product features.
  • Transforming large and complex datasets into trusted, high-quality, AI-ready data assets.
  • Developing ETL/ELT solutions using Python, SQL, AWS, and modern data engineering practices.
  • Improving data quality, monitoring, governance, and reliability across data platforms.
  • Contributing to innovative AI initiatives, including dataset versioning, labelling workflows, and AI-powered automation.
  • Collaborating with AI engineers, software engineers, and product teams to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Exploring new technologies and helping evolve the platforms that support Ideagen's AI strategy.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data integration solutions.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills with the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimise data workflows.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, ideally AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, or Athena.
  • Understanding of data quality, validation, monitoring, and governance principles.
  • Passion for solving complex problems using data, technology, and automation.
  • Interest or experience in AI, machine learning, MLOps, or large language models would be advantageous.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced AI environment.
