Associate Artificial Intelligence Platforms Engineer
A hands-on early-career role in enterprise AI adoption and maintenance
Summary
As an Associate AI Platforms Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in rolling out and supporting scalable AI platforms—such as Microsoft 365 Copilot—across the business. This isn’t just technical administration; it’s helping colleagues adopt new tools safely and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include pilot support, user onboarding, training delivery, and behind-the-scenes platform health, with mentorship to grow into senior roles as the AI function expands. Ideal for AI enthusiasts who thrive in fast-changing environments and possess strong Microsoft 365 admin skills. Core Responsibilities

Deployment & Adoption
- Support the company-wide rollout of AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot), including pilot testing, user training, and post-launch support.
- Oversee practical integration of responsible AI practices like content readiness, sensitivity labels, and access hygiene.

Day-to-Day Administration
- Manage licensing, provisioning, and basic troubleshooting for AI platforms.
- Maintain internal documentation, FAQs, and knowledge bases to empower self-service.

Enablement & User Support
- Develop and lead training materials (lunch-and-learns, office hours, FAQs).
- Triage user questions and escalate critical issues to Identity, Security, or Information Protection teams as needed.

Data & Compliance
- Collect and analyse usage data, assessing adoption levels and effectiveness.
- Keep updated on platform roadmaps and flag relevant features to the team.

Low-Code & Automation
- Build low-code solutions (e.g., Power Apps, Quickbase) to solve business workflow gaps.
- Get hands-on exposure to Cortex AI tools (e.g., Cortex Code) and aid early users.
Why You’ll Fit Our Team
Experience & Knowledge
Required
- 2–4 years of experience in:
- IT platform engineering, technology operations, or corporate enterprise SaaS administration.
- Administering the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, administrator permissions).
- Practical knowledge of large-scale IT adoption programmes, including pilots, user training, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency as a Power User of Microsoft 365 Copilot (niche to Exam-based Copilot Administration).
- Familiarity with responsible AI governance: content readiness, security settings, and policy alignment.
- Experience working cross-functional teams in Technology, Security, or Business Operations.
Preferred
- Mastery of Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, or Information Protection policies.
- Moderate experience in low-code platforms: Quickbase, Power Platform, or Low-Code Enterprise tools (Mendix, OutSystems).
- Prior admin experience with enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce, Workday).
- Aware of EU AI regulation (e.g., AI Act) or broader AI compliance frameworks.
Technical Skills
- Intermediate+ Python & SQL for automation/scripting.
- Hands-on comfort with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor+).
- Advanced Box Prompt techniques tailored to business use cases.
Collaboration & Communication
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly in non-technical settings.
- Independently plan, create, and deliver enablement workshops.
- Problem-solve efficiently with minimal hand-holding—embracing ownership of work.
Education
- Trusted degree or equivalent in computer science, business IT, or related fields.
- Free to self-select non-traditional pathways if equivalent expertise is proven.
