The Role
P2G Contract Support LLP is searching for a curious and technically minded Associate to join our Survey Team - a team known for tackling complex built environment and compliance issues, helping the public sector provide safe, well maintained, fit for purpose building infrastructure to achieve measurable value.
In this role, you will be an instrumental part of our team; a team of like-minded technical problem solvers working across the PFI / PPP and outsourced FM markets to:
- Deep dive into complex asset condition issues, investigate root causes, and shape strategic solutions.
- Support the public sector to achieve value for money through sustainable contracts.
- Help embed best-practise contract management across UK and international PPP/PFI and outsourced FM contracts.
- Support the smooth expiry transitions of existing PP / PFI projects, ensuring seamless service continuity; and
- Contribute to the development of the next generation of PPP models shaping the UK’s future infrastructure.
Your work will span everything from analysing detailed building survey outputs and technical information to reviewing contracts and helping deliver rectification works design and delivery strategies.

You’ll join a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team leading PFI expiry, contract management and PPP development, underpinned by tailored training and clear opportunities for progression. Core skills
We are looking for an individual with:
- A good understanding of building infrastructures and systems.
- A passion for building safety and compliance and wants to develop their knowledge and skills in this field of application.
- Risk awareness and can recognise how defects can affect safety and service delivery.
- Sound judgement and can distinguish urgent safety concerns from longer term asset issues.
- An interest in ensuring that health, education and other public services are well delivered and provide value for money.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with a competent understanding of I.T. software, predominantly MS programmes (Excel, Word etc.) or equivalent.
- A foundation of skills and knowledge in:
- Reviewing technical reports to identify key issues.
- Basic understanding of financial aspects of projects, including finance models.
- Negotiation skills and an understanding of different stakeholder perspectives.
- Understanding public sector internal and external approval processes.
- The ability to work independently and proactively to solve problems, communicate issues and resolve conflict.
- The role also requires competency across core skills including Communication, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Leadership, Analytical ability, and Sector Knowledge (PPP/PFI, FM, etc.).

Salary and benefits
Salary: £45,000 - £70,000 per annum + pension.
