Associate/Associate Director SCS
The Role
We are seeking an Associate/Associate Director to join our EMEA Strategic Capital Solutions team based in London, Madrid or Frankfurt. The team combines our Real Estate Investment Banking and Pan European Capital Markets Sector teams as an integrated, market-leading platform.
We specialise in complex, multi-stakeholder transactions including large portfolio sales, corporate M&A, recapitalisations, joint ventures, new funds and structured equity transactions. The team operates from offices in London, Madrid, and Frankfurt, within a highly motivated, high-performing, investment-banking-style environment that values initiative, analytical rigor, and ambition.
As Associate/Associate Director, you'll be a trusted member of the team supporting directors throughout the full life cycle of projects. You will play an active role in live client processes, participating in client meetings and maintaining relationships. You'll also mentor analysts, graduates and junior team members, helping develop their financial analysis skills and understanding of the real estate market.
Key Responsibilities
- Execution Leadership: Ensure quality and timeliness of all client-facing materials and transaction documentation while coordinating multiple workstreams, anticipating execution obstacles, and demonstrating ownership of transaction outcomes.
- Transaction Management: Manage complex transactions including joint ventures, corporate M&A, portfolio and asset sales, maintaining clear communication between multiple stakeholders while managing competing priorities across simultaneous transactions.
- Sector Specialisation Development: Build depth of market intelligence within preferred asset classes or product types, producing high-quality sector/product-specific technical analyses
- Client-Facing Capability: Present marketing materials and transaction updates with professionalism, respond effectively to technical client questions, and serve as point of contact externally.
- Financial Modelling and Analysis: Create and interpret financial models for large portfolio sales, corporate M&A, joint ventures, and structured equity transactions, providing strategic advice based on financial analysis and market trends with efficient turnaround times.
- Pitch Preparation and Business Development: Support preparation and coordination of pitches for potential projects, develop creative business opportunities, and execute investor marketing strategies to grow the team pipeline.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Develop connections with local teams to support investment processes, manage research team outputs, coordinate with marketing teams, and build relationships with internal specialist teams including sustainability.
- Team Leadership and Development: Effectively supervise analyst team members on assigned deals, mentor graduates and junior team members on financial analysis and appraisal outputs, and support their professional development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
