The Role:
Due to our rapidly expanding workload, we are now looking to appoint an Associate or Associate Director to join our small team. You will play an integral part in continuing to grow the team, and act as lead of future projects.

As a member of the Marrons team, you will continue to develop your career working collaboratively with colleagues within our multi-disciplinary consultancy. You will lead in the delivery of a range of projects across various sectors. This includes working on residential schemes, commercial, energy sector, leisure facilities, and large SUE sites. There is also an opportunity to become involved in planning appeal works if desired.
Whilst we are currently a small team, we are seeing an exponential growth in workload. Alongside managing projects, you’ll be responsible for mentoring the junior staff within the team and contributing to business development.
Key Duties:
- Project lead from a transport planning perspective whether this be working alongside Marrons planning colleagues or external clients
- Reviewing Transport Assessments / Travel Plans / Feasibility Studies
- Providing high-level advice to clients at project inception stage and through the duration of a scheme
- Attend client meetings and public consultations
- Contribute towards winning work
- Work collaboratively with in-house Marrons specialist teams
You Will Need:
- Significant experience in the transport planning industry
- Excellent technical and design skills as well as report writing skills
- Relevant degree qualification in Transport Planning, Geography, or Civil Engineering
- Use of AutoCAD, TRICS, JUNCTIONS, and LINSIG modelling software is desirable
- Experience of planning appeals is desirable

Location:
Ideally, this role will be based from our Sheffield or Nottingham office hubs, but we can offer flexibility to be based in our Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, or Birmingham offices if preferred.
