Associate / Associate Director - Transport Planning
Location: London
Salary: Circa £60,000-£80,000 DOE
Type: Full Time, Permanent | Hybrid Working
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate / Associate Director Transport Planner to join a well-established, independent transport and infrastructure planning consultancy in Central London.
This role would suit an experienced development transport planner with strong client management skills and an ability, or appetite, for work winning and business development.
The consultancy works across a diverse range of residential, commercial, mixed-use, urban regeneration and strategic land projects, with a strong reputation for technical quality and a collaborative culture.
The Role
You will play a key role in both project delivery and the continued growth of the transport planning team, with responsibility for:
- Leading transport planning projects from feasibility through to planning submission
- Preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and technical reports
- Managing client relationships and acting as a senior point of contact
- Supporting business development, bids, fee proposals and work winning
- Developing existing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Managing project programmes, budgets and resources
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members
- Contributing to the wider growth and development of the team

About You
You will be an experienced Transport Planner from a consultancy background, operating at Associate or Associate Director level.
Ideally, you will have:
- Significant experience in development-led transport planning
- Strong client-facing and project management skills
- Experience with Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
- A proven ability to win work and develop client relationships, or a strong desire to move further into this area
- Good commercial awareness
- Experience with PICADY / ARCADY, with LINSIG / VISSIM desirable
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
