With offices in London and San Francisco, we invest in and help build companies advancing cutting-edge science—from early-stage discovery to clinical development. Our portfolio includes high-potential startups across therapeutics, platforms, and enabling technologies in the US, UK, and Europe.

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Associate. The Associate will work closely with Partners, Principals, and Investment Managers to support all aspects of the investment process and portfolio development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate new investment opportunities through research, founder engagement, and industry networking
  • Conduct due diligence, including scientific, clinical, financial, and commercial analysis
  • Build market maps and competitive landscapes to identify white space opportunities
  • Support company creation efforts alongside founding scientists and entrepreneurs
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor portfolio companies, including performance tracking and strategic support
  • Attend industry conferences and events to develop networks and insights

Experience

  • Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or MS) in life sciences, biomedical engineering, or related field
  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in biotech investing, life sciences strategy consulting, investment banking, or startup operations
  • Strong scientific literacy and ability to critically evaluate complex data
  • Demonstrated interest in early-stage biotech investing and company building
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset
