Associate Director - Building Surveying
A highly regarded property and construction consultancy is looking to appoint an ambitious Associate Director - Building Surveyor to join its London City office, located close to Bank Station.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor seeking a genuine leadership position within a growing team, offering a varied workload across project and professional instructions and a clear pathway towards senior leadership.
The successful candidate will act as the number two within the team, supporting the Director in managing, mentoring and developing a small but growing Building Surveying function, while also helping drive business growth and client relationships across London and the South East. In tandem to this you must be comfortable and want to keep your hand in delivery, while signing off team reports and checking instructions.

Typical responsibilities will include:
- Contract administration and project delivery
- Refurbishment and alteration schemes
- Planned maintenance programmes
- Technical due diligence
- Dilapidations
- Party wall matters
- Defect diagnosis and reporting
- Client relationship management
- Team leadership and development
- Supporting business development initiatives
About you:
The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, technically strong and motivated by the opportunity to take on greater responsibility within a collaborative consultancy environment.
You will have:
- MRICS qualification
- Strong experience across both project and professional Building Surveying work
- Experience managing or mentoring junior surveyors
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- A proactive and ambitious approach
- Desire to progress into a senior leadership position
