Job Description

We are looking for an Associate Business Analyst to join our Data Services & Reporting team, helping to deliver data, reporting and analytics solutions that create measurable business value.

Working closely with business stakeholders, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Delivery Managers, you will play a key role in understanding business challenges, defining requirements, and supporting the delivery of data-led solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BA who enjoys working with data and wants to further develop their skills within a growing analytics environment.

While this is an Associate-level position, please note that we are looking for candidates who already have experience in a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst or similar requirements-focused role.

What you'll be doing…

  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, priorities, and opportunities.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for data, reporting, and analytics initiatives.
  • Producing process maps, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
  • Supporting impact assessments, gap analysis, and root cause investigations.
  • Working with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
  • Helping to promote the adoption and effective use of reporting, analytics, and self-service solutions.
  • Supporting solution testing and validation using SQL and Business Intelligence tools.

What we're looking for…

This role is best suited to candidates who already have experience gathering requirements and working with stakeholders in a Business Analyst capacity or similar.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a Business Analyst, Junior Business Analyst, Associate Business Analyst or similar requirements-focused role.
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders and facilitating discussions to gather and refine business requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions and identify root causes.
  • Experience documenting requirements, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to interrogate and validate data.
  • Experience using Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence working with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
