Purpose of the Role
Our team is now looking for an experienced individual who will be an integral part of the Business Development Team, working with the wider group to successfully take investment opportunities to the market through a number of business development and administrative activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Be an integral part of the BD team, working with BD Managers and Directors to build and maintain strong relationships with financial advisers and other intermediaries.
- Position yourself and Ingenious as a trusted business partner.
- Conduct research on prospective clients and be cognisant of potential new business opportunities within the market.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Ingenious group and specifically our Investment products along with knowledge of the wider marketplace in which Ingenious operates. This will include wealth management, financial advice and alternative investments as well as Inheritance Tax planning and Later Life planning.
- Responsible for proactively contacting new and existing clients and setting up meetings on behalf of the BD Managers and Directors.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations, financial illustrations and other material for client meetings.
- Follow up on meetings and events, providing further support and developing opportunities for new business.
- Proactively seek opportunities to cross sell/upsell where appropriate, involving the BD Managers and Directors as required.
- Manage the pipeline of sales opportunities by keeping CRM up to date including introducer status, opportunities, organisations and individuals. Progress opportunities through the sales stages ensuring accuracy of forecast.
- Work collegiately and effectively with the Client Services team to manage client queries and ensure the timely processing of investment application.
- Deliver against Key Performance Indicators set by the BD Director.

Role Requirements
- Demonstratable success in a sales/account management environment.
- A driven, competitive individual with an ambition and desire to achieve targets.
- A confident and strong communicator, familiar and comfortable with a variety of formats such as Teams and Zoom.
- Confident with Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation and analysis, and creating ML packs.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
- Sound judgement, adaptability, and ability to influence others.
- With training and support, an ability to develop an understanding of complex investment products and the needs of investors as well as an appreciation of the tax issues surrounding financial products.
- A team player who can demonstrate proactiveness, enthusiasm, and a 'can do' attitude.
