Associate Business Manager, Clinical Trial Supply (PhD / MSc Science)
Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire (on site, five days a week)
Salary: Up to £38,000 + 10% bonus
Finished your PhD or Masters and want to take your science into the commercial side of pharma? This is a route in, with a clear path up.
The company
Our client is one of the UK's fastest growing pharmaceutical services businesses. Founded in 2009, it grew from zero to £80M in eight years and has since passed £350M, with offices in the UK, Germany and the United States. It is still led by its founder, whose ambition is to become the world's number one provider of comparator sourcing for clinical trials, and it has expanded into packaging and labelling and early access medicines.
The role
You will manage clinical trial comparator supply projects from first quote to final delivery. That means sourcing licensed medicines from manufacturers worldwide, negotiating price, securing the documentation (CoA, stability data, MSDS, SPC), arranging export paperwork and logistics, and keeping pharmaceutical and CRO clients informed at every stage. You will learn under an experienced Head of Project Management, with full training on the company's systems.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
