If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact, gain exposure to complex projects, and grow rapidly within a supportive and evolving team, this is it.

About the Role

Based in our Bristol or Warwick Office, this Buyer position plays a key role in supporting the delivery of supply chain activities across West National Gas Services.

You’ll work closely with our Buyers and Supply Chain Leads, project stakeholders and suppliers to manage end-to-end procurement activities, from early demand planning and sourcing strategy through to tendering, contract award and supplier management.

This is a hands-on, varied role within a team that is building new ways of working, giving you the chance to influence processes, develop your expertise, and grow alongside the function.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support the delivery of regional supply chain and procurement activities across multiple projects

  • Evaluate supplier proposals including commercial benchmarking and analysis
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, performance and value delivery
  • Support contract management and mobilisation activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, governance, and industry standards
  • Contribute to a developing supply chain function, helping shape best practices and frameworks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Experience using procurement or ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba or similar)
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required

Additionally, the following experience would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge or experience of contract frameworks, particularly NEC (highly desirable), or transferable frameworks such as FIDIC or JCT
  • Exposure to category management, supplier benchmarking, or cost analysis
  • Experience operating within a regulated, project-based, or complex commercial environment
