About The Role
Our Commercial Valuations team is looking to recruit an Associate to join our London office.
You will be responsible for valuing office and retail properties across Central London, alongside coordinating a number of major REIT and property company portfolios. These portfolios have a combined value of more than £20 billion.

Acting as a key point of contact for clients, you will work closely with four Partners and the wider Central London Valuation team. This is a varied role offering exposure to high-profile instructions, established clients and opportunities to support the continued growth of the business.
What you will be responsible for
Valuations and business development
- Deliver quarterly, biannual and annual valuations for a range of commercial real estate assets.
- Consider current market conditions, comparable evidence and ongoing asset management initiatives when preparing valuations.
- Coordinate portfolio valuation instructions and ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Undertake loan security valuations on an ad hoc basis, either through your own instructions or work allocated by senior colleagues.
- Work with the Partners to grow the team’s client base and secure new instructions through excellent client service and relationship management.
- Use valuation software including Argus Enterprise, Argus Developer, KEL and MRI.
Client relationships
- Act as the first point of contact for clients across a range of valuation matters.
- Respond quickly and professionally to client enquiries.
- Prepare clear, accurate and well-structured valuation reports.
- Attend client valuation meetings and provide insight into your specialist market sector.
- Build trusted relationships and represent Knight Frank professionally at all times.
Market knowledge and professional standards
- Develop a strong understanding of the Central London office and retail markets.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant property legislation, legal case law and RICS requirements.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across Leasing, Capital Markets and Research.
- Keep informed of developments across the property market through industry and national press.
- Maintain accurate and orderly valuation records in line with Knight Frank’s best practice procedures.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Take responsibility for your continued professional development in line with RICS requirements.

Working as part of the team
- Take ownership of allocated instructions and contribute fully to the core valuation team.
- Work closely with four Partners, four Associates, three Surveyors and rotating Graduates within the Central London Valuation business.
- Collaborate with colleagues across other departments to gather relevant market information and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Share knowledge and support the development of junior members of the team.
What we are looking for
You will be a qualified Chartered Surveyor with strong commercial valuation experience and the confidence to manage client relationships and complex portfolio instructions.
You will need:
- MRICS qualification.
- Registration under the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
- Broad experience of UK commercial property and secured lending valuations.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an accurate, organised approach to work.
- The ability to prepare clear, factual and timely valuation reports.
- A thorough approach to research and evidence gathering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to work directly with clients and other property professionals.
- A collaborative and flexible approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A proactive interest in building your internal and external profile.

- KEL
- MRI
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
