Associate Civils – Wanted – Immediate Start!

Are you an experienced Associate Civils Engineer ready to take the next step into a leadership role?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Associate Civils professional to join an ambitious and growing consultancy based in the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing team while working across a varied portfolio of projects with exposure to developments of different scales.

The successful candidate will combine strong civil engineering design experience with proven leadership skills, taking ownership of team management, client relationships, performance targets, and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a senior or associate-level civil engineering role
  • Strong UK civil engineering design experience
  • Experience managing and developing engineering teams
  • Experience with client relationship management and key account management
  • Experience delivering KPIs and reporting into senior leadership
  • Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE or CMIHT)

Desirable:

  • Autodesk Civil 3D knowledge
  • Autodesk Inflow knowledge
  • Causeway Flow knowledge
  • Expert-level Autodesk AutoCAD experience
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
  • Experience using MailManager

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of civil engineers and technicians
  • Mentor and develop staff to support their professional growth
  • Oversee the delivery of civil engineering designs across multiple projects
  • Manage key client accounts and maintain strong working relationships
  • Drive team performance and achieve business KPIs
  • Provide technical guidance and quality assurance across project delivery
  • Work closely with Directors, contributing to business strategy and growth
  • Ensure projects are delivered efficiently while maintaining high technical standards

As an Associate Civils Engineer, you will also be expected to:

  • Be a confident leader with excellent people management skills
  • Have strong commercial awareness and client-facing experience
  • Be proactive, organised, and driven
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Be committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions
