We are looking for an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to join our thriving Civil Infrastructure team in Oxford or Reading, helping us deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across the South-East and beyond.

About The Role
As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will take a leading role in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects, managing technical delivery, supporting project teams and helping shape the future growth of our Civil Infrastructure offering.
You will lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading the technical delivery and approval of civil infrastructure projects across a range of sectors.
- Managing project teams, supporting the development of engineers and technicians through coaching and mentoring.
- Taking ownership of project delivery, ensuring schemes are completed on time, within budget and to client expectations.
- Reviewing and approving technical outputs, ensuring quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Delivering infrastructure designs from concept and planning stages through to detailed design and construction.
- Working closely with clients, contractors, utility providers, drainage authorities and highway authorities.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Stantec to deliver coordinated and innovative solutions.
- Supporting business growth through strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for future work.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, influencing the design and delivery of infrastructure schemes while continuing to develop your technical and leadership skills.

About You
We are looking for an experienced civil engineer who is passionate about delivering innovative infrastructure solutions and is ready to take the next step in their career within a growing team.
You Will Have
- An MEng or BEng qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering civil infrastructure design projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of highway and drainage infrastructure design.
- Experience managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and planning through to detailed design and delivery.
- Experience coordinating with clients, local authorities, statutory bodies and other technical disciplines.
- Proven ability to manage and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Experience using design software such as Civils 3D and InfoDrainage would be advantageous.
- Experience with utility coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery would be beneficial.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions and driving continuous improvement.
