Location: Bristol, Warmley
We are looking for a creative and organised Marketing Assistant to support our Business Development Manager within Richard Jackson Limited.
This role is essential in translating our complex engineering projects into compelling visual and written content. You will support the growth of our brand by managing our social media presence, maintaining website content, and designing creative documents for marketing purposes.
The ideal candidate has a keen eye for design, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams to showcase our expertise.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The role will be supporting the Business Development Manager with the timely and high-quality delivery of:
Graphic Design for Internal and External Content
- Design and format high-impact marketing documents, project and capability sheets, company brochures and presentations
- Supporting the updating of marketing material for marketing and bid use
- Ensure all outward-facing materials adhere to the company’s brand guidelines.
- Design and delivery of exhibition materials.
Website Management
- Liaise with external website agency for amendments and improvements and creation of content for general pages
- Update the company’s website with new project portfolio entries and news articles via WordPress
- Monitor website analytics and suggest improvements for SEO and user experience
- Coordinate with project leads to collect project images and information.

Social Media and Content Production
- Contributing to our Social Media platforms to promote our presence on LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant platforms
- Develop a consistent content calendar featuring project milestones, company culture, and industry insights
- Write engaging captions and posts tailored to a professional B2B audience.
Person Specification
Essential Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications
- Proven experience in a marketing role within professional services, construction, consultancy or engineering
- ACIM/ MCIM qualifications – Ideally working towards
- Relevant Marketing/Media or business-related qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Advanced experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign and/or Illustrator
- Experienced with website editing or content management systems (e.g. WordPress)
- Good copywriting and proofreading skills with the ability to simplify technical jargon for a broader audience
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Collaborative and able to work with technical teams
- Understanding of the importance of quality output and attention to detail

Role Details
- Part time candidate will be considered – minimum 22 ½ hours
- £25-35k pa FTE
- Based in Bristol (Warmley)
- Interviews in September
