Role Overview
MUFG, one of the world’s leading financial groups with a rich heritage spanning over 350 years, is seeking a Client Data Quality Specialist for a 12-month fixed term contract in London. This exciting opportunity sits within the Corporate and Investment Banking Division, supporting both MUFG Bank London and MUFG Securities. As part of the Client Lifecycle Management department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client data across EMEA, directly impacting the quality of service delivered to clients and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
As a Client Data Quality Specialist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract), you will be instrumental in driving the accuracy of counterparty data across MUFG’s EMEA operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Running Business-As-Usual Data Quality Frameworks and ensuring timely publication to safeguard organisational standards.
- Managing internal front office stakeholders by coordinating data clean-up and validation exercises through effective collation and actioning of responses.
- Performing data reconciliation between client base records and static data points to identify discrepancies and escalate issues as required.
- Supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of Data Quality rules to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborating with business and system owners to remediate data issues and provide feedback to golden source systems for continuous improvement.
- Preparing management information reports showing progress on data validation exercises and overall data quality enhancement efforts.
- Proactively identifying data quality issues and supporting both tactical and strategic remediation initiatives for MUFG Bank and MUFG Securities.
- Identifying opportunities for enhancing end-to-end customer experience through targeted data quality improvements.
- Interacting and communicating effectively at all levels while building strong working relationships with business partners and IT teams.
- Developing internal controls to monitor data quality continuously; implementing processes to detect, correct, and prevent invalid data or errors.

Requirements
Your proven experience as a Client Data Quality Specialist will be evident through your ability to manage large workloads efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy. You bring:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications with advanced Excel skills enabling efficient handling of large datasets.
- Strong analytical abilities allowing you to interpret complex information accurately and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills demonstrated through successful completion of milestones under tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail ensuring high levels of accuracy in all aspects of your work.
- A methodological approach combined with logical thinking that supports structured analysis of data quality issues.
- Experience running data quality initiatives within complex organisational structures with proven outcomes.
- Effective communication skills enabling you to engage stakeholders at all levels across business functions.
- Broad knowledge of investment banking products, corporate banking services, capital markets, or securities environments relevant to client support.
- Stakeholder management expertise allowing you to foster dependable relationships within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate independently with limited supervision while exercising sound judgement in decision-making.
