Role description:

Join Arcadis and help deliver some of the UK's most significant development-led infrastructure programmes.

Working across major residential expansion, regeneration and infrastructure projects, you'll provide commercial leadership that enables communities to grow, investment to unlock and complex programmes to succeed.

Based in Cambridge, you'll work directly with developers, local authorities and private-sector clients, acting as a trusted commercial adviser whilst helping grow our Development Led Infrastructure team.

This is an opportunity to influence major projects, develop key client relationships and play a leading role in one of Arcadis' most exciting growth markets.

Role accountabilities:

As an Associate Commercial Manager, you'll provide commercial leadership across complex programmes, influence major investment decisions and act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders while supporting the growth of our Development Led Infrastructure team.

You'll play a key role in the commercial leadership of major residential expansion, regeneration and infrastructure programmes, helping unlock new communities, housing growth and economic development across the UK.

This role is based in Cambridge, one of the UK's fastest-growing development markets, with involvement across major regeneration, residential expansion and supporting infrastructure programmes.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading commercial and cost management services across major development-led infrastructure projects
  • Providing strategic commercial advice to clients, developers and delivery partners
  • Managing project performance, risk, forecasting and commercial outcomes
  • Supporting procurement, contract administration and commercial strategy
  • Developing and mentoring commercial professionals within the team
  • Building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to drive greater value

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Significant experience delivering major infrastructure, regeneration, residential or mixed-use development projects in a commercial, quantity surveying or cost management capacity.
  • Experience gained within consultancy, client-side or contractor environments will be considered.
  • Proven ability to manage, motivate, and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • On‑site project delivery experience is essential, particularly across major infrastructure schemes.
  • Strong experience building senior‑level client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.

This is an opportunity to shape major projects, influence strategic decisions and play a key role in the continued growth of the Arcadis Development Led Infrastructure business.

We're particularly interested in people who have:

  • Significant experience delivering major infrastructure, regeneration, residential or mixed-use developments
  • A background in commercial management, quantity surveying or cost management
  • Experience working within consultancy, client-side or contractor environments
  • Proven ability to build senior stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted adviser
  • MRICS (or equivalent professional qualification) preferred
  • Experience leading teams and delivering projects on site
