As an Associate Communications Integration Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, integrating, testing and developing communications technologies that support critical defence and maritime capabilities.

Day-to-day, you'll work across a variety of communications and networking projects, supporting the integration and testing of radio, network and communications systems. Working within a highly collaborative engineering team, you'll spend time in laboratory environments configuring equipment, conducting trials, troubleshooting technical issues and engaging with customers and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the integration and testing of communications systems and equipment
  • Conducting laboratory-based testing, trials and technical investigations
  • Producing technical documentation and reports to support engineering activities
  • Collaborating with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver project objectives
  • Supporting multiple projects while managing your own workload and development

Essential experience of the Associate Communications Integration Engineer:

  • Understanding of communications, networking, systems engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience working with technical systems, either through industry, military service, education or personal projects
  • Ability to analyse problems and develop practical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrable curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to learn new technologies

Essential qualifications for the Associate Communications Integration Engineer:

  • Degree in Engineering, Communications, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent practical experience demonstrating capability within a relevant engineering or technical environment

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Portsmouth site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.

Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
