The Role
We are seeking a high-performing and intellectually curious Associate Consultant to join our consulting team. Associates are core members of our project teams and contribute across the full consulting engagement lifecycle, from structuring problems and conducting research and analysis to developing recommendations and preparing client presentations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with data, learning quickly, and collaborating with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate, you will:
- Structure and analyze complex business problems using hypothesis-driven approaches.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to generate actionable insights.
- Perform market, industry, competitor, and company research.
- Build financial, operational, and strategic models to support client decision-making.
- Develop business cases, market assessments, growth strategies, and other strategic analyses.
- Conduct and synthesize interviews with clients, customers, industry participants, and subject-matter experts.
- Translate analysis into clear insights, recommendations, and compelling client presentations.
- Prepare high-quality PowerPoint presentations, reports, and other client deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops and communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate closely with senior consultants and firm leadership to develop recommendations and drive projects forward.
- Manage individual workstreams, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Contribute to the development of Shawwa Strategies' intellectual capital, methodologies, and internal initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
- Excellent quantitative capabilities and comfort working with data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar industries and business models.
- Sound business judgment and commercial awareness.
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing excellent work.
- Initiative, ownership, and the ability to work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- High standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from a leading university with a strong academic record; candidates from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
- Approximately 1–3 years of professional experience in management consulting, strategy, investment banking, corporate strategy, private equity, startups, or another analytically rigorous environment is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong command of English; additional languages may be an advantage.
- Exceptional recent graduates with relevant internships and demonstrated analytical capabilities may also be considered.

Salary range for this position is £4500 - £7800 per month, determined by experience and level of seniority according to the company's internal compensation framework. Frequent traveling is expected within this position.
