Description
We are looking to recruit an Associate to work within our highly regarded Contentious Construction and Engineering Team to boost the firm's current direct/commercial construction practice. The candidate will play an active role in the growth and success of the team in collaboration with our wider practice nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Based out of our London office, the successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to form part of a prestigious and highly ambitious national and international construction team, to be part of delivering this success at a local level.
- The firm's construction team acts for a full range of leading industry members on a wide range of contentious issues, including claims over time, money and defects.
- It provides project-based advice to help clients manage out difficult issues and to avoid disputes. If a dispute does then arise, the team has substantial experience in all methods of dispute resolution – both formal and informal.
- The successful candidate will also gain exposure to this area of the team's work.
- The successful candidate would be working as part of a team based in London but will gain exposure to teams across the nation.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 4-7+ years + PQE with experience in Construction & Engineering commercial litigation.
- Solid academic track record.
- Excellent relationship and client handling skills.
- Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day to day issues.
- Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team;
- Willingness to be involved in business development and strategy to drive forward profitable growth for the team.
