About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Corporate Tax Associate (0-3PQE) with experience in corporate tax or corporate law with tax exposure.
The successful candidate will work closely with partners and senior advisers on a broad range of UK corporate tax matters, M&A transactions, restructuring projects and tax planning assignments for entrepreneurial businesses, corporates, private equity-backed groups and high-net-worth individuals.
This role offers exposure to high-quality advisory work in a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Corporate Tax Advisory
- Advising clients on UK corporation tax matters.
- Assisting with tax planning and structuring projects.
- Researching and analysing complex tax issues.
- Drafting technical advice, reports and client communications.
- Monitoring tax legislation and HMRC guidance developments.
Transactions and Corporate Work
- Supporting corporate acquisitions, disposals and investments.
- Undertaking tax due diligence reviews.
- Advising on transaction structuring and tax-efficient implementation.
- Assisting with management buy-outs, group reorganisations and corporate restructurings.
- Reviewing tax aspects of legal documentation where appropriate.
Client Service
- Building relationships with clients and professional intermediaries.
- Participating in client meetings and presentations.
- Responding to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Supporting business development initiatives and networking activities.
Technical Development
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation.
- Contributing to internal technical updates and training.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across legal, tax and corporate teams.
What success looks like
This role is measured on the quality, reliability and commercial impact of the advice and support provided. Key measures include:
- Quality and technical accuracy of advice, drafting and client communications.
- Reliable, timely delivery across tax advisory and transaction workstreams.
- Positive feedback from partners, senior advisers and clients on responsiveness and professionalism.
- Growing technical breadth across due diligence, restructurings and planning assignments.
- Progress towards CTA qualification where relevant, and development as a rounded corporate tax adviser.

Experience and qualities
This role requires a qualified solicitor with a strong grounding in corporate tax. You will be someone who:
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, with 0-3 years' PQE in corporate tax, corporate law with tax exposure.
- Has exposure to, or an interest in, tax due diligence, M&A, corporate reorganisations, share incentive arrangements, international tax, employment-related securities or private equity transactions.
- Sound understanding of UK corporate tax principles.
- Experience of corporate transactions and tax advisory work, or is keen to build this quickly.
- Strong drafting and written communication abilities, with close attention to detail.
- Commercially aware, pragmatic, and comfortable working directly with clients.
- Able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Curious, proactive, team-oriented and commercially minded, with a strong commitment to client service.
- Is working towards, or open to, the CTA qualification.
