  • Reviewing reports and conducting legal research and due diligence;
  • Supporting the VP and/or SVP of BALA on special projects as needed; and
  • Supporting and mentoring Junior Contracts Managers where helpful.

What we're looking for

  • 1-3 years PQE solicitor;
  • In-house experience preferred, though we'll also welcome applicants from a private practice background who have managed their own caseload and worked directly with clients;
  • Experience working across different countries and regions is a plus;
  • Strong understanding of IP Law, ideally across multiple jurisdictions;
  • Understanding of EU Competition Law;
  • Confidence drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts and amendments independently;
  • Strong commercial awareness;
  • Ability to explain key issues clearly and offer advice/solutions to business teams;
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills;
  • A focus on accuracy and pace to support fast, efficient turnaround times;
  • Comfortable working under pressure and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment;
  • Collaborative approach with team members, internal departments, agents and licensees across different cultures;
  • Open to supporting other team members with drafting contracts when needed; and
  • A commitment to excellent and professional service at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
