About the Role
We're looking for an exceptional Associate Creative Director, Copywriter to join a global creative and marketing team on an initial three-month contract, with scope to extend. The successful candidate will be available to start ASAP.
This is a senior creative role for someone who believes in the power of an idea and knows that great ideas live or die through great storytelling and exceptional writing.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Art Directors, designers, strategists, producers and marketing teams to develop creative work across a broad range of channels and customer touchpoints.
- Bring big ideas, sharp thinking and beautifully crafted copy to everything you do.
- Help shape creative concepts and campaigns from the first thought through to final execution, creating work that captures attention, tells a compelling story and connects with audiences.
- The role spans a wide variety of content, from big creative campaigns and brand storytelling to web copy, website content, product specifications, in-store communications, product launches, social content and attention-grabbing customer-facing messaging.
- Move effortlessly between the big idea and the smallest detail.
- Concept and creatively direct ambitious, original campaigns and communications.
- Partner with Art Directors and multidisciplinary creative teams to turn ideas into exceptional work.
- Write and edit across a wide range of formats, audiences and channels.
- Develop compelling creative storytelling that makes complex products, ideas and messages simple, engaging and memorable.
- Create everything from campaign concepts and headlines to website copy, product content, product specifications, retail and in-store communications, social content and launch materials.
- Present creative concepts and finished work to senior stakeholders and confidently articulate the thinking behind the work.
- Work across digital, retail, advertising, events, social and emerging communication channels.
- Collaborate with designers, photographers, filmmakers and production teams to ensure the idea is executed to the highest possible standard.
- Mentor and inspire other writers, helping raise the quality and ambition of the work.
- Balance creative ambition with commercial objectives, deadlines and practical production considerations.
- Champion the craft of writing - ensuring every word has purpose and every piece of content earns the customer's attention.

Requirements
You'll ideally have 10+ years of experience in creative writing, advertising, marketing communications or a similar creative environment, with experience working at a senior creative or creative leadership level.
Most importantly, you'll have:
- A standout portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative storytelling and writing.
- Experience developing big, bold, original ideas rather than simply delivering briefs.
- A proven ability to create work that is attention-grabbing, culturally relevant and memorable.
- A genuine love of the craft of writing - from a powerful campaign line to a beautifully considered product description.
- Experience working across a wide variety of content, including advertising, web and website copy, product content, product specifications, retail/in-store communications, social, film, video, photography and integrated campaigns.
- The ability to take complex information and turn it into clear, engaging and compelling communication.
- Excellent creative judgement and meticulous attention to detail.
- Confidence working collaboratively with Art Directors, designers and other creative disciplines.
- Experience presenting creative ideas to senior creative and marketing stakeholders.
- An understanding of film, photography and creative production.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment.
- A portfolio that demonstrates the thinking behind the work as well as the final execution.

Contract & Working Pattern
- Initial 3-month contract with scope to extend. Start ASAP.
- 3 days per week in the office.
- No remote working option.
- No visa sponsorship available.
A Bachelor's degree is preferred, although exceptional creative experience and a strong portfolio will be valued.
