JOB OVERVIEW

We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director to lead the creative output on some of our biggest accounts.

This is a role for a creative leader who loves social and understands that the best social ideas have creators at the core of them. You’ll sit at the intersection of brands and culture, bringing a sharp eye for both brand and creator.

You’ll have deep experience developing big social campaigns and always-on brand social content, with a clear understanding of what makes ideas stand out, travel and cut through. You’ll see the potential for social to go beyond the feed, with experience across channels such as experiential, OOH and wider integrated campaigns. You understand how to take a strong idea and make it work in different spaces, without losing what makes it distinctive.

You’ll help drive the thinking, elevate the output, and help the team to get to better work faster. This role sits between making and leading. You’ll set the tone for what good looks like through your own work, whilst also directing and elevating the work of the team.

You’ll have an appreciation for both the conceptual and the executional. You know how to take a brief, dissect it, and translate it into clear, actionable direction. You partner closely with Strategy, Client Services, and Production to shape the response, then lead your team through execution. Ensuring the work is culturally relevant, emotionally resonant, and built to perform.

As part of this role you’ll partially oversee a team of in-house creators, ideating and producing social first content at the speed of culture. You’ll have a strategic mind helping to identify opportunities and empty spaces others might miss in collaboration with the strategy team.

You’ll be fluent in the language of the internet, aware of trends, memes and viral moments and know how and when to capitalise on those for our clients. You also have experience working with creators, and understand how to collaborate with them in a way that elevates both the idea and the output.

Our creative north star is simple. Reject the comfortable, do the unexpected.

WHAT DOES GREAT LOOK LIKE?

Creative Thinking

  • You’ll be the main creative thinker on BDB’s largest and most complex creative briefs. Developing social-first, creator led ideas, rooted in culture.
  • You’ll be expected to develop and articulate compelling and original creative solutions for these projects with full autonomy.
  • Shape ideas that are designed to live natively through creators organic channels, brand channels and across platforms
  • You’ll know how to collaborate with talent to build content worlds, not just one off posts
  • You’ll be expected to understand and be able to develop creative ideas on three levels; executional, conceptual and business-level
  • Play a key role in pitching and winning new business
  • Present and defend creative work with clarity and confidence

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
