Kennedys is seeking an Associate to join our growing Cyber and Data Risk team in London.
As cyber threats, data breaches and technology-related disputes continue to evolve, our clients look to us for specialist advice that combines legal expertise with commercial insight. Our team advises insurers, businesses and global organisations on a broad range of cyber, data privacy and technology risk matters, often involving complex, high-profile and cross-border issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop their expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of legal practice, working alongside market-leading practitioners and a diverse international client base.

The role
You will support partners and senior lawyers on a wide variety of cyber and data risk matters, including:
- Cyber incident response and breach management
- Data protection and privacy disputes
- Regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
- Technology and cyber-related litigation
- Professional indemnity and technology errors and omissions claims
- Network security and ransomware incidents
- Coverage advice for cyber insurers
- Reputation management and crisis response matters
You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients, develop your technical expertise and play an active role in delivering commercially focused solutions during time-critical situations.

About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- 2-5 years' PQE
- Strong litigation, dispute resolution or regulatory experience
- Experience in cyber, data protection, technology, insurance or commercial disputes is advantageous
- Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- An interest in emerging technologies, data privacy and cyber risk
- Strong client relationship and communication skills
- A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute to business development initiatives
