Associate Data Solutions Architect

Salary: up to £84,000 Subject to experience

Location: Manchester or London, hybrid, with at least 2 days a week in the office

Sorry, open to UK Citizens only – sponsorship not available

Working with and guided by the Principal Data Solutions Architect, you'll help our client modernise its data platform, through a planned move from Databricks and Azure Data Factory to Microsoft Fabric.

This is long-term, considered work: designing a platform properly, to clear standards, so it serves the organisation well for years. Your designs will inform decisions that affect the public and have a real impact at a societal level.

What you'll actually do

  • Turn business and regulatory requirements into end-to-end data designs, in line with the organisation's architecture principles and roadmap.
  • Help guide a structured rollout of Microsoft Fabric, setting standards and reference designs across OneLake, Data Factory, data warehousing, data science and Power BI.
  • Weigh up design options on cost, risk and value, and present clear recommendations.
  • Design reliable patterns for bringing in and transforming data (ingestion and ETL/ELT), and support planned moves off older platforms.
  • Combine licensing data with external measurement data to support regulatory decisions.
  • Build governance, data lineage and access controls into every design, using Microsoft Purview for cataloguing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
