**1. Associate Dentist (Full-Time – 5 Days/Week, Clinic-Based)
Location: Airdrie – Bankhouse Dental Care, PortmanDentex
About the Role We seek a confident and motivated Associate Dentist to join our forward-thinking dental practice in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire. This opportunity is perfect for a dental professional looking to transition into private practice, build a large private patient list (converting from NHS), and receive tailored support from the practice team and Denplan.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality private dental care while maintaining NHS standards
- Build and retain private patient relationships to grow private treatment uptake
- Provide a personalised, patient-focused experience in a mixed (public/private) practice
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records
- Collaborate with the wider practice team on clinical governance, patient care, and practice efficiency
- Adhere strictly to **all health & safety and GDC obligations
About You
- Qualifications:
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) or equivalent
- Current GDC registration and valid UK licensure
- Experience: Proven expertise in private dentistry (essential); independent working experience preferred
- Attributes:
- Communication skills: Warm, professional, and adaptable
- Clinician profile: Driveable, detail-oriented, and confident in patient management
- Attitude: Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- тах: Open to mentoring (if accepted) or applicants from *overseas who require no supervision (ICOAM will consider)

2. Clinician Engagement Lead (Part-Time – Mondays, Self-Employed
About the Role We are also seeking commercially-minded clinicians for the Clinician Engagement Lead role, supporting our practices across Scotland. This part-time position involves driving engagement, advocating for private practice, and supporting a portfolio of clinicians, including mentoring for local practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical & Commercial Leadership:
- Identify clinic engagement opportunities focused on private practice.
- Define and implement changes to drive private dentistry uptake.
- Colleague Support:
- Mentor other dentists to ensure practice success and improve patient outcomes.
- Partner with operational teams to enhance clinic performance/collaboration strategies.
- Synergy & Growth:
- Maintain consistency in clinical best practice while supporting business objectives.
- Utilize private practice experience/ownership to nurture growth within clinics.
About You
- Ideally:
- Previous mentor/educator experience or practice ownership skills.
- Firm skills in both clinical and leadership areas including:
- Dedicated communication & leadership (empathic, persuasive, inspiring).
- Willingness to work as a dentist within one of Portman Dentex practices during contract.
- Collaborative mindset for enabling shared goals across Portman University networks.
