Software Engineer II (DevOps)

My client, a leading global financial services organization, is seeking a skilled Software Engineer II (DevOps) to join their core technology team.

This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure software systems are built, tested, and deployed in secure, reliable, and reproducible environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with development and infrastructure teams to define deployment parameters, optimize system architecture, diagnose technical issues, and monitor system capacity across enterprise financial applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • CI/CD & Release Management: Design, maintain, and optimize YAML-based CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, managing multi-environment releases and artifact deployment.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement scalable infrastructure using Bicep, manage reusable deployment modules, and support containerized environments utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Architecture & Development: Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot infrastructure across the.NET stack and write application modules in C# to enhance system logging, monitoring, and administrative functions.
  • Security & Observability: Implement application observability using Azure Application Insights. Ensure data security compliance (PII protection, data classification) and enforce secure development practices using Azure Key Vault, RBAC, managed identities, and GitHub security scanning tools.
  • System Diagnostics & Support: Identify and resolve complex deployment issues across IIS-hosted Windows environments, network configurations, and database systems.
  • Team Leadership: Support junior team members and assist in training Associate-level personnel.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
