Job Opportunity: Digital Assets Practice

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing digital assets practice within our market-leading Structured Finance & Derivatives team, based in either our Bristol or London office.

The practice advises on the transactional mandates involving digital assets, as well as the regulatory and structuring issues relating to cryptoassets and tokenisation. It sits within our wider SFD group, one of the leading practices in the market, which advises a broad range of clients on the full spectrum of structured finance, structured products, derivatives, and securitisation transactions.

As a core part of the firm’s Emerging Technologies Group, we advise on the structuring and regulatory issues posed by distributed ledger technology. The leading partner also co-heads the firm’s work on tokenisation – offering the successful candidate genuine exposure to some of the most innovative and fast-developing work in the market.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work predominantly alongside the partner leading the digital assets transactions practice, supported by the existing associates and trainees. You will also work with the wider group on structured finance and derivatives matters, as part of a ‘one team’ approach.

The successful candidate will:

  • Advise on transactional mandates relating to digital assets, building on a structured finance or derivatives foundation.
  • Advise on regulatory and structuring matters relating to digital assets and tokenisation, working closely with our specialist financial regulatory lawyers.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction and structured finance documentation for an international client base of cryptoassets firms, banks, asset managers, funds, and corporates.
  • Work as part of cross-practice, cross-border teams, collaborating with colleagues across our Bristol, London, and global offices.
  • Take real responsibility for matters, help supervise and develop junior members of the team, and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Play an active role in marketing and business development to help grow this new practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
