Summary Of The Role
As an Associate Digital Strategist/Consultant at MSQ DX, you will support clients in navigating the rapidly evolving digital landscape to achieve measurable business outcomes. Working closely with senior consultants and client teams, you will help identify opportunities where MSQ DX can deliver meaningful digital impact across customer experience, technology and transformation initiatives. You will support teams and existing clients to identify where MSQ DX can best help clients realise their digital ambitions. You will support in developing digital transformation initiatives by analysing business processes and understanding technology-driven strategies.
You will contribute to both new business opportunities and existing client engagements, supporting the development of digital strategies, transformation roadmaps and experience-led solutions. This includes conducting research, analysing market and customer insights, and helping shape technology and digital experience recommendations. The role offers exposure to a wide range of disciplines including MarTech, customer experience, digital strategy, AI and digital transformation, and requires collaboration with strategists, designers, technologists and client stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will bring 1-3 years of experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or digital transformation environment, strong analytical and communication skills, and a passion for understanding how technology can improve customer experience and business performance.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Strategic Lead on setting strategies for winning and growing accounts, working alongside client account and new business teams.
- Advising new and existing clients on trends in MarTech, including appropriate CRM, CMS, CDP, design solutions and AI capabilities to meet strategic business objectives.
- Using strong interpersonal skills to design effective strategy workshops customised for different client stakeholders.
- Supporting digital-first creative ideas, and shaping these with the UX and Design Team (some basic digital design literacy is preferred with tools such as Figma).
- Undertaking independent research to contribute to opportunity responses and proactive client growth - such as competitor analysis, market and customer research.
- Helping clients manage stakeholders, build internal consensus, identify opportunities, form business cases, justify investment, prove returns, design governance structures, define operating models.
- Continually feeding and extending your own expertise in modern digital experience capabilities.
- Being generous with your insight and expertise to help clients to advance their own understanding and capability - so they trust and come back to you/MSQ DX, repeatedly, to volunteer their challenges.
- Being a window into the clients strategic priorities, sharing everything you learn about the clients, generously and frequently.
- Supporting and collaborating with other agencies, partners and suppliers to the client, to serve the clients' interests first.
- Identifying emerging capabilities that the client needs that stretch or are adjacent to our own, but necessary to fulfil our core propositions, and engaging the discipline leaders at MSQ DX so they can marshal the capabilities and resources we'll need to meet these needs.
- Working collaboratively across our office and client sites for at least 2 days a week with some UK and overseas travel, dictated by client demand.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Knowledge, technology and qualifications:
Essential
- 1-3 years experience in a digital agency, consultancy, or digital oriented environment.
- Foundational understanding of digital strategy, customer experience, digital transformation principles and how AI is impacting them.
- Some awareness of the MarTech ecosystem, including CRM, CMS, CDP, Social channels, marketing automation platforms and AI tools.
- Familiarity with digital experience design and customer journey thinking.
- Experience conducting research, analysis and insight development to support strategy and how to use AI to support the delivery of this work.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint / Excel / collaboration tools for analysis and presentations.

Desirable
- Some exposure to leading MarTech platforms such as CMS & CRM.
- Familiarity with UX and digital design tools such as Figma or Miro.
- Experience supporting digital strategy, experience design or transformation projects.
- Basic understanding of data analytics, experimentation or digital performance measurement.
- Experience participating in client workshops or discovery sessions.
- Some familiarity with using AI tools to reach business outcomes more effectively and efficiently.
Skills or Competences:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and communicate insights clearly.
- Ability to translate research and data into actionable strategic recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation development.
- Strong collaboration skills when working with multidisciplinary teams.

- Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
