Associate Director - Renewable Energy Claims
London / Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office
Salary - £90,000 - £95,000 plus benefits
The Opportunity
A leading global insurance broker is looking for an experienced Associate Director - Energy & Renewable Energy Claims to join its specialist Power & Energy claims team.
This is a senior, client-facing role managing a complex portfolio of primarily operational renewable energy claims, with a particular focus on solar farms and wind farms.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of renewable energy and power claims
- Handling losses involving solar, wind and other renewable energy sources
- Working closely with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and the London Market
- Acting as a senior technical referral point for the wider claims team
- Supporting client pitches and new business activity
- Building strong relationships with clients and market partners
- Working closely with specialist placing and broking teams
- Managing primarily UK claims, with international exposure also available

Experience required to apply
- Strong experience handling renewable energy claims, particularly solar and/or wind
- Experience within a retail broking environment
- Strong understanding of the London Market and ECF
- UK market experience; international exposure is advantageous
- Excellent technical and commercial judgement
- The confidence and personality to engage with clients and contribute to business development
- A genuine client-first approach and the ability to act as an advocate for the insured
