Associate Director - Renewable Energy Claims

London / Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office

Salary - £90,000 - £95,000 plus benefits

The Opportunity

A leading global insurance broker is looking for an experienced Associate Director - Energy & Renewable Energy Claims to join its specialist Power & Energy claims team.

This is a senior, client-facing role managing a complex portfolio of primarily operational renewable energy claims, with a particular focus on solar farms and wind farms.

The Role

  • Managing a portfolio of renewable energy and power claims
  • Handling losses involving solar, wind and other renewable energy sources
  • Working closely with clients, insurers, loss adjusters and the London Market
  • Acting as a senior technical referral point for the wider claims team
  • Supporting client pitches and new business activity
  • Building strong relationships with clients and market partners
  • Working closely with specialist placing and broking teams
  • Managing primarily UK claims, with international exposure also available

Experience required to apply

  • Strong experience handling renewable energy claims, particularly solar and/or wind
  • Experience within a retail broking environment
  • Strong understanding of the London Market and ECF
  • UK market experience; international exposure is advantageous
  • Excellent technical and commercial judgement
  • The confidence and personality to engage with clients and contribute to business development
  • A genuine client-first approach and the ability to act as an advocate for the insured
