About the Company

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director to join our team and play a key role in the continued development of our business. This is a senior position combining client leadership, team management, commercial responsibility and business development. You will work closely with our Directors and Senior Directors to strengthen existing client relationships, develop new opportunities and lead a high performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of services across key client accounts, maintaining strong relationships and identifying opportunities for further growth.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic initiatives across the service and wider sector.
  • Develop new business through networking, relationship building and identifying opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Take commercial responsibility for projects within your area, including budgets, profitability, change control, forecasting and fee management.
  • Lead and develop your team, supporting recruitment, mentoring, training, performance management and career development.
  • Work with Directors to forecast workload, resource requirements and future headcount.
  • Lead and support bids, including resource planning, fee proposals and delivery strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen our service offering through innovation, improved processes and development of technical capability.
  • Provide clear updates to senior leadership regarding performance, opportunities, workload and key priorities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to a consistently high standard and in accordance with Cumming Group and client governance requirements.

Qualifications

  • A degree in construction, cost management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous.
  • MRICS or an equivalent professional qualification would be advantageous, although relevant experience will also be considered.

Required Skills

  • Significant experience within construction, infrastructure, cost management, engineering or a related consultancy environment.
  • Experience managing people and delivering multiple or complex projects.
  • Strong client facing skills with the ability to build trusted, long term relationships.
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
  • Good commercial awareness with an understanding of project budgets, fees, profitability and resource planning.
  • The confidence to influence senior stakeholders, negotiate effectively and support business growth.
  • Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills.
