Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Agree a set revenue budget and total headcount for team with Director / Senior Director.
- Support the implementation and development of strategic initiatives at service and sector level.
- Identifying with Director areas to develop further with existing resource– i.e. Power BI & developing staff further (estimating or scheduling for example).
- Lead service delivery with existing key clients, maintaining and strengthening client relationships and using opportunities to cross-sell.
- Develop our business; networking and developing client relationships.
- Being aware of the profit and loss on projects within their responsibility. Showing awareness of the business side of service delivery and its impact on the company P&L. Demonstrate ability to monitor and make necessary changes to maintain profitability on projects.
- Strengthen our service delivery capability and promote knowledge capture, sharing and innovation.
- Developing and leading a team towards achievement of the long-term strategy. Support Directors with recruitment aligned with long-term strategy. Support recruitment in sector/office.
- Support monthly updates to Senior Directors and Directors on area of responsibility within the sector.
- Project manage new bids including resource planning and fee proposals for Director approval.
- Supporting Directors in administrating the appropriate processes and procedures are in place during the bidding and delivery phases of projects.
- Manage project budgets; implement robust contract and project change control processes to ensure Client approvals are in place to facilitate monthly invoicing.
- Associate Directors responsible for areas – involved in recovery of outstanding fees.
- Manage the delivery of work through proactive involvement where appropriate and through performance management of personnel to ensure work is completed in a timely manner to a high-quality standard.
- Understand the scope of services and corresponding fee. Show awareness and manage services level within fee structure and identify opportunities to seek additional fees for additional services.
- Assist in the forecasting of team workload and staffing requirements for area of responsibility.
- Provide leadership to your team. Where required, resolve conflicts of priorities and personalities relating to work with the appropriate Director.
- Complete all annual appraisals for direct reportees.
- Ensure staff have current and relevant training.
- Mentor team members, ensuring that staff and new starters are developed to support the successful growth of the Business and development of their career.
- Ensure service delivery is in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Business, particularly Health & Safety and Quality Assurance.
- Ensuring communication is clear with staff (team) understanding key priorities and business goals.
- Ensure compliance with client’s corporate governance procedures where applicable.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong core technical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgement and an aptitude for forward planning.
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical issues.
- The ability to negotiate, influence and deliver results in a client facing role.
- Energetic and motivated with natural drive and an innovative flair, resourcefulness and ability to adapt to change.
- Highly presentable with the ability to gain trust and respect.
- Strong personal relationships and client relationships that will support growth for the Sector.
- Ability to set challenging, demanding and progressive business goals that support the strategy and vision for the area of responsibility within sector, or sectors and clients.
- Ability to address key issues that affect achievement of targets set within area of responsibility.
- The ability to deal diplomatically with a wide range of stakeholders in a flexible environment, subject to change.
- The ability to function in a pressurised environment to strict deadlines.
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and organise workloads in conjunction with the appropriate Directors.
- Able to advise and guide colleagues in a supportive manner ensuring targets are set and deadlines achieved for area of responsibility.

- The ability to create a close knit team as required and motivate and mentor the team. The ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Ideally degree qualified: construction, cost management, engineering, or quantity surveying.
- MRICS/ other equivalent qualification or experience.
- Experience of managing people and delivering multiple or complex projects.
