About the Role
Susskind is looking for an ambitious Associate Director to join our independent City Fringe agency. You will be a senior agent with an established local network and the appetite to build on an existing portfolio in a competitive office leasing and investment market.
You will advise landlords, investors and occupiers on lettings, acquisitions, disposals and asset strategy across the City and Eastern Fringe (Shoreditch, Old Street, Clerkenwell, Farringdon), and occasionally the City Core and West End. You will lead instructions from pitch to completion and be a visible, trusted presence in the market.
What You'll Do
- Lead instructions end to end. Take responsibility for marketing, negotiation and completion of lettings and sales, delivering strong outcomes for clients.
- Originate and win work. Build a pipeline through market knowledge, networking, landlord and occupier introductions and proactive approaches, and convert opportunities into instructions.
- Advise with authority. Give clear, well-evidenced advice on rental and capital values, occupier demand, incentives, positioning and letting strategy, drawing on live City Fringe market activity.
- Own client relationships. Act as the senior point of contact for landlords, investors and occupiers, keeping their trust through the full life of an instruction.
- Manage fit-out and contractor relationships. Build and maintain relationships with fit-out companies and contractors, review and challenge their pitches, and make informed decisions on selection to support letting and occupier requirements.
- Lead pitches and proposals. Prepare and present fee proposals, marketing strategies and pitch materials that stand out.
- Develop the team. Guide and support junior colleagues, setting a high standard for client service, professionalism and attention to detail.
- Collaborate across the industry. Work closely with colleagues in investment, valuation, building consultancy, and property and asset management to deliver seamless advice.
- Raise our profile. Represent Susskind at market events and through networks, and contribute to the firm's reputation in the City Fringe.

What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 4 years' leasing experience in the Central London market, with a proven track record in commercial property agency, ideally in the City Fringe office market.
- A strong existing network of landlords, investors, occupiers and fellow agents, and the drive to grow it.
- Demonstrable deal experience: you have negotiated and completed lettings and/or sales and can talk confidently about your transactions.
- Sound commercial judgement and market insight, with the confidence to advise on value, letting strategy and asset positioning.
- The judgement to assess fit-out and contractor proposals and make decisions on cost, quality and deliverability.
- Evidence of business development success, including winning instructions and contributing to pitches and fee proposals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to build rapport quickly with senior stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, entrepreneurial approach, comfortable working independently and at pace.
- A collaborative, supportive style, with the ability to mentor and develop colleagues.
Preferred, but not essential
Experience working with serviced and managed office providers and flexible workspace platforms such as Valve.

- A salary of £60,000 – £80,000 depending on experience, with a commission / bonus structure
