Associate Director, Agency Sales
Advertiser Solutions | London, UK
We are looking for an Associate Director, Agency Sales to help expand PubMatic’s presence across designated holding companies and key independent agency partners in the UK.
This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, building strong agency relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
You will work across two areas: direct private marketplace deals and PubMatic Activate, our managed services offering. You will help agencies explore flexible approaches to programmatic execution and introduce partnership models that meet their business needs.
Success in this role requires strong commercial awareness, persistence, and the ability to manage long and complex sales cycles. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering and leadership, to support multi-stakeholder deals and deliver strong client outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Develop new business opportunities across designated holding companies and key independent agencies
- Expand PubMatic’s agency footprint by mapping accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and building a strong pipeline
- Own and consistently deliver against revenue targets
- Define and execute private marketplace and managed services strategies with agency partners
- Lead deal strategy and negotiations across private marketplace and managed service partnerships
- Communicate the value of managed services, including reduced operational workload, compliance support and performance benefits
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, operations and finance to structure tailored partnerships
- Travel as needed for client meetings, industry events and internal collaboration
- Stay current on programmatic trends and competitive positioning, applying this knowledge to account strategy

What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, including experience selling into agencies, holding companies and independent agencies
- A demonstrated track record of delivering against targets and creating new revenue opportunities
- Ability to build pipeline through proactive outreach and relationship development
- Resilience and adaptability when managing long sales cycles, procurement challenges and setbacks
- Experience closing complex, multi-year deals involving multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of real-time bidding, yield optimisation and sell-side operations
- Experience presenting to and negotiating with senior executives
- A solution-focused approach, with the ability to connect client needs to internal capabilities
- A growth mindset, including curiosity, learning agility and comfort working through ambiguity
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and negotiation skills

Additional Information
Compensation Disclosure
In line with applicable UK pay transparency legislation, the range below reflects PubMatic’s good-faith estimate of the total compensation for this role in the relevant market. Final offers are determined using objective, non-discriminatory criteria such as experience, skills, and location.
Total Compensation Range (OTE)
£98,000 – £118,000
Hybrid Working
Employees operate on a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely.
