Job Title: Associate Director – Alternative Coverage Team

Location: London

Hours: Full-Time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week or 60% of our time, at one of our office sites.

About this Opportunity:

Join our Alternative Coverage team and play a key role in building and developing relationships with hedge fund and alternative investment clients. Working closely with the Director and Head of Hedge Funds, you'll support a portfolio of client relationships, helping to find opportunities, deliver tailored banking solutions and contribute to sustainable business growth.

You'll collaborate with product, risk and delivery teams across the Bank to connect clients with the most appropriate products and services. You'll support the origination and execution of new business opportunities, contribute to client proposals and help build long-term partnerships that bring value for both clients and the Group.

As an ambassador for change, you'll embrace new tools and ways of working that enhance the client and colleague experience. You'll also maintain a strong understanding of risk, governance and regulatory requirements, ensuring all activity is delivered in line with Group policies and compliance standards.

What we’re looking for?

  • 5+ years' experience supporting institutional client relationships within banking or financial services, including experience working with hedge funds or alternative investment clients.
  • Knowledge of lending, treasury, markets and securitisation, with experience delivering tailored client solutions across a complex stakeholder environment.
  • Experience supporting business development activities, including opportunity origination and client proposal preparation.
  • Knowledge of risk, governance and regulatory requirements within a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships internally and externally.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks.

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
